Leo leaned over the dark crack, but his fluffy rabbit paws were too short to reach. Pip tried to squeeze down, but the opening was too narrow for her wings to flap. They sat down together to think. Then, Leo noticed a hollow reed growing by the pond and a sticky pinecone lying in the dirt. "Aha!" Leo cheered. "I have a plan!"
