Decodable Story
Chet and Beth ran to the old shed. The thick lock on the door was stuck. Chet gave the lock a tap. Click! The lock fell off.
"What is that in the back?" whispered Beth.
A big white duck sat on a sack. "Quack! Quack!" said the duck. The duck was quick and began to rush to the path.
Beth had a dish with mush. "Come peck this dish," said Beth. The duck ran to the dish to peck and chop. Chet and Beth wish the duck could stay, but it ran down the path with a thud. Chet shut the shed.
