1. Never Pre-Teach via Lecture
Model directly with a strong student for 20 seconds. Hand the turn back immediately.
2. The 3-Second Wait Rule
Allow struggling learners thinking time before rescuing. Point silently to the scaffold mat.

Stage 1: Choose Your Side (0–8m) Warm-up
Action: Designate 4 room corners (Love / Like / Don't Like / Hate). Shout a topic (e.g., Arabic coffee, waking up early, cooking, online shopping).
Task: Students move quickly, find a partner in that corner, share one reason with because, and ask: "What about you?"
Rotate topics every 60-90 seconds. Keep physical momentum high!
Stage 2: Find Someone Who (8–20m) Mingle
Action: Distribute the Scaffolded Find Someone Who Handout. Demonstrate asking: "Do you like shopping online?"
Rule: Must write a name AND the reason why before moving to the next classmate. No sitting down!
Teacher monitors for because + reason quality without speaking.
Stage 3: Opinion Ladder (20–32m) Graduated Pairs
Action: Pairs use Tiered Opinion Stems (Mild → Medium → Spicy). Roll through cards/prompts: horror movies, working from home, gym, perfumes.
Target Shift: Move from "I like X" to "I think X is relaxing / boring / great."
Push stronger pairs to Level 3 (Spicy): agree/disagree counters.
Stage 4: Info Gap Match (32–45m) Core Activity
Setup: Separate into Partner A and Partner B. Strictly no looking at partner's page!
Protocol: Partner A asks about Sara/Noura; Partner B asks about Reem/Layla. Both record likes/dislikes.
Decision: Together, select the best gift/recommendation for each friend and justify with because.
Stage 5: Agree/Disagree (45–55m) Group Arena
Prompts: "Shopping online is better than malls", "Coffee is better than tea", "Watching movies at home is best."
Rule: Every speaker must react with: "I agree because..." or "I don't agree because..."
Stage 6: Exit Challenge (55–60m) Assessment
Individual Check: Quick 1-minute pair exchange with an unfamiliar partner. Student A asks → B answers with opinion + reason + follow-up question.
