Fluency Reads:
Early on a crisp autumn morning, Queen Bea strolled outside her palace in Meadow Valley. She wore her favorite emerald green gown with gold trim. Across the lawn, a kind lady named Nora arrived carrying a woven basket filled with ripe blackberries for them to eat together.
"Please come sit right here beside the stone fountain," announced Queen Bea warmly. "Our garden team must work hard today using rakes and trowels. We need to tuck flower bulbs deep into the soil before chilly winter winds freeze the ground solid!"
By midday, the hard planting was complete. The team sat peacefully beneath a leafy willow to rest and read a funny storybook. Just as they turned the page, a fuzzy baby bee buzzed gently over and landed on a clover blossom to sip sweet nectar. The queen and her happy helpers cheered for their marvelous day!
