Core Interaction Pattern:

Prompt: "Where do you buy shoes?" → "I buy them at Zara."
Follow-up: "Are they expensive?" → "No, 250 SAR. It is affordable."
Probe online shopping habits: "Do you shop online?" (Very high engagement for A1).

Teacher Tip:

Accept approximate numbers and local currency (SAR/Riyals/USD). The goal is linking price to opinion adjectives (cheap, expensive, affordable, luxury).

35 – 47 MIN Phase 5: 3-Minute Style Mixer (Rotations)

Managing the Mixer:

• Set a digital timer for 3:00 minutes per round.
• Enforce Rule: "No Yes/No questions for the first 2 minutes!" Students must start with What, Where, When, Why, How much.
• Ring a bell / clap to switch partners between rounds.

Pair Adaptation (if only 2 students):

Do not rotate physically. Instead, use the 3 rounds as timed spotlight switches (Round 1: Clothes, Round 2: Beauty, Round 3: Shopping).

47 – 60 MIN Phase 6: Build an Outfit & Micro-Presentation

The 500 SAR Budget Stylist:

Students choose an occasion and budget 500 SAR. Partner acts as "The Stylist" giving opinions ("I love the jacket, but the shoes are too expensive!").

60–90s Showcase Protocol:

Each student delivers their micro-presentation using the page 6 stems. Listeners must ask 2 follow-up questions before clapping!

High A1 Differentiation

• Hesitant Learners: Allow pointing to booklet vocabulary tiles while speaking; pair with confident peers.

• Fast Finishers: Challenge them to explain "Why" using comparisons ("Sneakers are more comfortable than heels").

Recasting & Error Protocol

• Fluency Priority: Do not interrupt turn-taking to correct articles or verb endings.

• Recast Model: Student: "I put glasses." → Teacher recasts naturally: "Ah, you wear glasses! Very nice."
