WE DO: Ask: "What is something else we remember about Friday?" (e.g., "the clean desks"). All students write the shared sentence.
YOU DO: Students use their Break Evidence Map . They find a personal detail from their own week to complete the report.

Story Report Mode
Transition students from single sentences to a narrative arc about their break:
Focus: Pick ONE specific moment (not the whole week).Beginning: Describe the setup. Who was there? Where were you?Middle: What was the "climax" or most interesting action?End: How did the activity finish? What was your mood?
Prompting Questions
• "If I was standing next to you during that memory, what would I hear?"
• "What color was the [item] you were playing with?"
• "How can you tell your character was happy/bored/excited without saying the word?"

Support:
Scribe for students who struggle with spelling. Use the brainstorm categories as sentence starters (e.g., "I ate...").
Challenge:
Encourage "sensory details" (smell, taste, touch). In the story report, require at least one line of dialogue from a person in the memory.
