Discussion: Understanding Overwhelm

Use the Overwhelm Talk Points. Facilitate a group conversation. Normalize the feeling of stress for both kids and adults. Look for common themes like "too much homework" or "busy schedules."

Activity: Communication Skills

Hand out the Family Talk Worksheet. Guide pairs through the appreciation and support exercises. Encourage "I" statements (e.g., "I feel overwhelmed when...").

Families complete the Support Network Printable Cards. Discuss how these cards act as a "safety net" for the whole family.
