- Review the Feathered Feelings Fun! Slide Deck and test tech.
- Gather markers and a small whiteboard or chart paper.
- Prepare a Lovey Dove puppet or print a picture of Lovey Dove.

Warm-Up: How Are We Feeling?

- Greet students and ask them to show with a thumbs up, thumbs down, or thumbs in the middle how they are feeling right now.
- Briefly share your own feeling and why. "I'm feeling excited because we get to learn about feelings today!"

Introducing Lovey Dove and Feelings

- Introduce Lovey Dove and explain that they help us learn about our feelings.
- Use the Slide Deck to show different feeling faces.
- Discuss each feeling: happy, sad, mad, scared.
- Ask: "When do you feel happy? What does happy feel like in your body?" (Repeat for others).
- Emphasize: All feelings are okay.

Lovey Dove's Feeling Tool

- Explain Lovey Dove's special tool: taking a deep breath.
- Demonstrate: "Smell the flower" (inhale) and "Blow out the candle" (exhale).
- Practice together 2-3 times.
- Introduce the idea of talking about feelings. "Lovey Dove knows it helps to tell a grown-up how you feel."
