Phase 1: Excavation
1
The Value Scan
Look through the provided "Values Menu." Circle everything that feels "like you." Don't overthink it—go with your gut instinct.
2
The Top 5 Narrow Down
Integrity isn't about standing for everything; it's about standing for what matters most. From your list, select your "Non-Negotiable Five."
3
The Visual Mood Board
Instead of just writing the words, you'll create a visual representation.
Examples: If you value "Loyalty," show a wolf pack or a locked chain. If you value "Adventure," show a compass or a mountain peak.
Reflection Question
"Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching."
How do your chosen values help you stay true to yourself when you are alone versus when you are in a crowd?

Personal Integrity Profile: Lesson 2
Instagram vs. Reality
"Social media is a highlight reel, not a behind-the-scenes documentary."
The Post
The Reality
How does pretending to be someone else affect our self-respect?
Truthful (T in FAST)
The Texting Mask
It's easy to lie through a screen because we don't have to see the other person's face. We lie about where we are, what we're doing, and how we feel.
The "Screen Effect"
We often over-apologize or use "LOL" and emojis to hide our true boundaries or feelings because we're afraid of conflict.
The FAST Way
"Don't lie to make life easier. Don't apologize for your existence. Be truthful about your needs."
Digital Honesty Pledge Digital Honesty Pledge
Contract for Authenticity & Self-Respect
Maintaining self-respect in a digital world means being the same person online that you are offline. It means being truthful, assertive, and protecting your values even when hidden behind a screen.
I will be Truthful about my Reality
I will not post or share things that create a false version of my life to get likes or approval from others. I will embrace my authentic self.
I will not Hide behind Emojis
I will not use "LOL" or emojis to soften my boundaries when I am actually upset or uncomfortable. I will be clear about my feelings.
I will Honor my Values in Texts
I will stick to my core values (from Lesson 1) even in group chats. I will not "sell out" my beliefs just to fit in with the crowd.
I will use "No" without Apologies
If I cannot or do not want to do something requested of me digitally, I will say so clearly without making up excuses or over-apologizing.

Applying FAST Skills Online
Scenario 1: The "Perfect" Post
Your friends are all posting photos from a party you didn't go to. You feel left out. You consider posting an old photo of yourself looking great with a vague caption to make it look like you're out doing something fun too.
How would you use the "T" (Truthful) skill here?
Scenario 2: The Group Chat
In a group chat, everyone starts making fun of a classmate. One of your core values is "Kindness." If you say nothing, you're staying "Fair" to the group, but you're losing "S" (Stick to values).
Write a text response that shows you are sticking to your values without being mean to the group:
Scenario 3: The Late Night Text
A friend texts you at 11:00 PM asking for help with homework due tomorrow. You are tired and want to sleep. You feel like you should say "I'm so sorry, I wish I could help but I'm literally dying of exhaustion, so sorry!!"
How would you use "A" (No Apologies) to set this boundary firmly but politely?

Negotiable
Things where you can use "Fairness" (F in FAST). You can compromise, trade, or change your mind.
• Which movie to watch
• What to eat for dinner
• Whose house to hang out at
Non-Negotiable
Things tied to your "Values" (S in FAST). These are the walls of your integrity.
• Your safety and health
• Your core honesty
• How people speak to you
"If you don't draw the line, someone else will draw it for you."

Anti Apology Slides The Anti-Apology
FAST Skill: No Apologies (A)
Are you over-apologizing?
When we apologize for things that aren't our fault, or for just taking up space, we slowly chip away at our self-respect.
Don't say:
"I'm so sorry I'm late! I'm the worst!"
Try saying:
"Thanks for waiting for me."
"Replace 'Sorry' with 'Thank You' or a clear statement of fact."
Your Art Mission
Visual Reframing
You will create a piece of art (poster, digital graphic, or collage) that features a powerful "Anti-Apology" statement. The goal is to make the statement look as bold and confident as it sounds.

Truthful
Don't lie, exaggerate, or act helpless to get what you want. Honesty builds long-term respect and trust.
Key Question: Am I being authentic?
"Self-respect is the fruit of discipline; the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself."
