The Dollar-Up Secret: Pay with Confidence
Shopping Superpower
How Does the Dollar-Up Rule Work?
When a price has cents, look at the dollars number in front of the dot. Then add 1 MORE DOLLAR! You will always have enough to pay, and the cashier gives you change!
Example: A Juice Bottle Costs $2.40
1. Price Tag $2.40
2. Dollars Number $2
+ $1
3. Dollar-Up Amount $3.00
Practice: Find the Dollar-Up Amount to Pay!
