Where did you use numbers, shapes, or problem-solving?
Time: Schedules, travel, alarms
Family & Friends: Sharing, counting people
Food: Measuring, estimating portions
Days & Dates: Tracking trips, count downs
Money: Budgeting, shopping, tips
Visualize it!
Imagine a calendar, a pizza being divided, or a shopping cart!
Brainstorm Time!
Take a few minutes to silently brainstorm your own examples.
Reflect:
Which category has the clearest math memory for you?
Don't write anything down yet, just think!
Share Your Math Moments!
What are some math moments you experienced over vacation?
Think of one "easy" moment and one "harder" moment to share with the class.
Easy Example
"I counted how many days were left until my birthday trip!"
