Warm-Up: The Four-Step Chant (5 min)
Write the sequence 25, 50, 75, 100 on the board.
- Perform a choral chant with the class. Clap on each number to establish a rhythm.
- Ask: "Do these numbers look familiar? Where else do we see these numbers?" (Likely answer: Money/Quarters).
- Tell students: "Today we are going on a quest to master these four special numbers!"

Video: Quarter Quest (5 min)
The Listen-Only Challenge:
Challenge students to look away from the screen and only listen to the song. Can they keep up with the counting in their heads? Use the following timestamps for pauses:
0:33 Pause
Ask: "How many quarters make a dollar?"
0:47 Pause
Ask: "If we add one more quarter, what comes after $1.00?"
1:15 Pause
Ask: "Look at the last two digits. What is the pattern?"

Activity: Pattern Detectives (15 min)
Setup: Hand out one deck of Pattern Detective Cards to each pair of students.
Part A: Sorting
Students shuffle their deck and work together to place all cards in order from least to greatest.
Part B: Predict
One student draws a random card (e.g., 450). The partner must quickly say the next three numbers in the sequence (475, 500, 525).

Closure & Exit Ticket (5 min)
Distribute the Quarter Quest Exit Ticket. Students must independently count by 25s from 300 to 425.
Check for: 300, 325, 350, 375, 400, 425.
