Expedition Station Cards 1
Regrouping Rally
Station Instructions • 15 Minutes
The Mission
Your team is racing to the summit of Mount Math! To move forward, you must solve addition and subtraction problems that require regrouping.
How to Play
Place your game pieces at the Base Camp .
Player 1 draws a Problem Card .
Both players solve the problem in their Logbook under Station 1.
Compare answers. If you are correct, roll the die and move!
Watch out for Landslides (move back) and Shortcuts (move ahead)!

Fact Family Fusion
Station Instructions • 15 Minutes
The Mission
Numbers in a fact family are like teammates—they always work together! Your job is to find the missing members and write the complete equations.
Your Tasks
Pick a Fact Family House card.
Identify the 3 numbers that belong to that family.
In your Logbook, write the 2 multiplication and 2 division equations.
Challenge: Find the "Imposter" card where one number doesn't fit!

Operation Outbreak
Station Instructions • 15 Minutes
The Mission
Expedition reports are coming in from the field, but they are all in word puzzles! You must determine which operation (+, -, ×, ÷) is needed to solve each report.
Your Tasks
Read an Expedition Report card.
Circle the key words that tell you the operation.
Draw a model (like a bar model or array) in your Logbook.
Solve the problem and include your units (e.g., 15 monkeys).
Gear Needed
4
Fraction Frontier
Station Instructions • 15 Minutes
The Mission
You are mapping the Fraction Trail! Use your knowledge of benchmarks (0, 1/2, 1) to place fractions exactly where they belong on the map.
Your Tasks
Choose a Trail Card .
Look at the fraction. Is it closer to 0, 1/2, or 1?
On your Logbook map, plot the fraction point and label it.
Check: Is it above a whole? Less than a half?
Gear Needed
5
Area Architect
Station Instructions • 15 Minutes
The Mission
Expedition HQ needs a new base! You must calculate the total area of composite shapes to see how many floor tiles we need.
Your Tasks
Pick a Blueprint card.
Split the shape into two rectangles.
Find the area of each (length × width).
Add the areas together for the total.
