Warm-Up: Negative Skip-Counting
Challenge students to skip count backwards starting from 0.
Sequence: -3, -6, -9, -12, -15, -18, -21, -24, -27, -30.
Ask: "If we are at -30 and want to get back to 0 by jumps of 3, how many jumps would that take?" (Introduction to division as repeated subtraction/groups).

Round 1 (5:40-7:18): Same-sign division. Students shout out or write down the answer before the narrator reveals it.
Round 2 (8:40-10:07): Different-sign division. Increase the pace!
Misconception Check: Ensure students aren't just memorizing "two negatives make a positive" but understand it as the "opposite of a negative group."

Activity: Integer War
Students play in pairs using a modified deck of cards.
Red Cards (♥/♦): Negative Integers
Black Cards (♣/♠): Positive Integers
Cards are flipped in pairs. Calculation: Top card ÷ Bottom card.
If the quotient is a whole number (divides evenly), the player keeps the cards.
If it doesn't divide evenly, cards go to a "Peace Pile" (discard).

HOW TO WIN
Each round, flip two cards. Divide the Top Card by the Bottom Card.
Example:
Top: Black 8 (+8) | Bottom: Red 2 (-2)
+8 ÷ -2 = -4
