Your team has been given five decryption keys represented by the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 . You must place exactly one number in each circular node of the V-shape so that the sum of the left arm equals the sum of the right arm .

Threshold Mission: Find a configuration that works. What is the sum of each arm?
Ceiling Challenge: Can you find *all* possible sums? What makes a sum impossible? Prove it!

The security mainframe requires code formulas for integers from 1 to 10 . You must use exactly four 3s and any combination of standard operators: +, -, *, /, ( ).
Decryption Examples:
To make 0 : 3 + 3 - 3 - 3 = 0
To make 6 : (3 * 3) - 3 = 6 ❌ Only 3 threes used!
To make 6 (Valid): 3 + 3 + 3 - 3 = 6 ✔ Valid!
Rule Check: You cannot use other digits. You cannot use square roots or factorials (unless your teacher grants permission!).
Strategy: Start with basic forms. How can you make 1 using two threes? \(3/3\). How does that help you build other numbers?
