Distribute the Launchpad Diagnostic Preassessment. Students work individually. Teacher circulates to monitor test-taking behaviors (pacing, finger tracking, focus, scrap paper utilization) and records observations.
T + 10 Min DEBRIEF
Mission Debrief & Mindset Survey
Collect booklets. Introduce the Mastery Map Tracker. Have students fill out the self-reflection prompt: "How confident do you feel about launching into Grade 4 math?" celebrating effort over raw accuracy.

Administration Tips
- Read Aloud Support: For ESOL/IEP students, read directions and math questions aloud verbatim. Avoid explaining math vocabulary.

Immediate Action Plan Checklist
Class-Wide Standards Sweep Identify the lowest-performing single domain. Integrate 3-minute math warm-ups for that domain over the next 10 class days.
Form Small Guided Math Groups Group students with matching gaps (e.g., equivalent fraction errors) into targeted workshop blocks during parallel math centers.
Deploy Mastery Maps Have students color their "Mastery Map Tracker" sheets based on graded feedback. Use maps for student-led goal setting.
Parent-Teacher Sharing Print mastery tracking reports to share at beginning-of-year conferences to build positive partnership goals.
