DIVISION
The mathematical operation of splitting an amount into equal groups or finding how many groups can be formed.
Completed Example
12 ÷ 3 = 4

DIVISOR
The number you are dividing by. It tells how many equal groups to make or how many items are in each group.

Bracket Form
4 14
Visual Model: Divisor = 4 in each group
Divisor (4) sets the group size!
Memory Hook: Divisor does the slicing! It waits outside.
Part 02 [KWOH-shuhnt] • noun
QUOTIENT
The answer or result of a division problem. It shows how many full groups were made (or each group's size).

Part 03 [rih-MAYN-dur] • noun
REMAINDER
The amount left over after dividing into equal groups. It is always smaller than the divisor.

Leftover: 2
Golden Rule: The remainder is always smaller than the divisor!

The total number or whole amount that is being divided or broken up into equal parts.
