Define a starting point and a turnaround point.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Introduction (5 minutes)
Gather the students and explain the relay race. Demonstrate how to run with the baton and the importance of passing it carefully to the next teammate.

Running the Race (15 minutes)
Line teams up at the start. On signal, the first student runs to the turnaround point and back. Pass the baton to the next teammate. Continue until all members have gone.

Cool-Down (5 minutes)
Gather in a circle for gentle stretches. Reinforce the importance of cheering for teammates and working together.

How to Play

Focus on stretching arms, legs, and core. Practice the jumping jack form: jump, spread legs and arms, then jump back to start.

The Challenge (20 minutes)
STAGE 1 Perform in unison for 1 minute.
STAGE 2 Pairs/Teams compete while others cheer.
STAGE 3 Rotate leaders and focus on fair play.

Cool-Down & Review (5 minutes)
Gentle stretches in a circle. Share what was enjoyed most and how to improve form.
