Place Near Blue Mat near phone and main Doors.

Place Near Blue Mat on wall opposite of basketballs (under the letters on the wall).

- Duty Punctuality: Please be on time for Lunch Duty (12:30) and Car Rider Duty (3:45).
- Hallway Transitions: Students will line up in hallway order when transitioning.

Class Flow Summary
STEP 1 Students Walk In

1. Entry & Initial Walk
- Have students go directly to the floor spots.
- Start 3-minute walk using the round timer.
- Remind them to:
- Stay spaced
- Walk only
- No equipment yet
2. Warm-Up: Activity Dice (5–7 mins)
- Dice will be on the cart.
- Roll the dice for whole-class exercises.
- Each roll = class performs movement for ~30 seconds.
Examples to Call:
Jumping jacks
Squats
Arm circles
High knees
Toe touches
Then briefly explain stations (detailed on Page 3).
3. Clean Up & Closing (Last 5 mins)
Tell students:
"Clean up — all equipment back to cart or wall. Walk, don’t run."
Then instruct them to:
- Students return to their spots.
- Lead deep breathing:
- In through nose (4 seconds) | Out through mouth (5 seconds)
- Dismiss by line order.
End-of-Day Student Transition
After dropping off Ms. Tarry's 1st Grade class, go down the hall to Kindergarten to pick up the K students and escort them to the YMCA (located in the cafeteria) and the car rider lines. (Please check the map in your sub folder).
Step-by-Step Dismissal Procedures
- Take Ms. Tarry's class & Ms. Urritia's students (Urritia's students to the END of the line).
- At the 1st Grade Wing, Ms. Urritia's students go to her room. Deliver Ms. Tarry's class to Mrs. Tarry's room.
- Next: Walk down the hall to Kindergarten to pick up the remaining Kindergarten students.
- Escort K students to the YMCA (Y - located in the cafeteria) and Car Rider lines. Refer to sub folder map.
Hallway Expectations Students should walk, stay with the group, keep hands to themselves, and use quiet voices.

STATION ROTATIONS
Main Lesson Activity Setup & Guidelines
Activity Details
Rotation Guidelines
Students can choose any station at any time, or if you prefer, you can split them into groups and have them rotate every 10 or so minutes.
1 Station 1: Basketballs
Focus: dribbling and ball control
Instructions
- One ball per student if possible
- Bounce using one hand at a time
- Eyes looking forward, not at the floor
- Use soft, controlled bounces
- Stay in personal space — no shooting unless told otherwise
Challenges (Optional)
- Dribble while walking slowly
- Dribble and freeze on signal
- Switch hands on command
Safety
- No kicking balls
- No throwing balls
- Keep ball below waist
2 Station 2: Hula Hoops
Focus: coordination and rhythm
Options Students May Try
- Traditional waist hula-hooping
- Spin hoop on arm
- Place hoop on the floor and jump in/out
- Roll a hoop and carefully stop it
Instructions
- Encourage students to keep trying — not everyone gets it right away
- Remind them to stay in their own space
Safety
- No hoop “lassos”
- No placing hoops around neck
- Keep hoops away from faces
3 Station 3: Jump Ropes
Focus: jumping rhythm and timing
Instructions
- Practice slow single bounces first
- Rope swings around and jumps on the two feet together
- Try “jump-stop-jump-stop” for beginners
- Students struggling may pretend jump rope without rope first
Challenges (Optional)
- Count how many jumps in a row
- Forward jumps only
- Partner count for each other
Safety
- Ropes stay on the cart when not in use
- No swinging ropes in the air like whips

Thank you for being here! A few important responsibilities for the day:
- Please arrive at Breakfast Duty, Lunch Duty, and Car Rider Duty on time.
- Supervise students at all times during transitions.
- Ensure students line up in hallway order before leaving the gym.
- Leave the gym organized — all equipment returned neatly to the supply closet.
- If a class ends early, have students sit quietly on their assigned spots until dismissal time.
Discipline Expectations
Students are expected to:
- Follow directions the first time.
- Keep hands, feet, and equipment to themselves.
- Use equipment only as instructed.
- Show respect to classmates and the substitute.
General Safety Reminders for Sub
- No running with equipment
- No throwing objects not meant to be thrown
- Walk to retrieve balls and ropes
- If behavior becomes unsafe:
- Stop class briefly
- Review expectations
- Restart calmly
Behavior Management Steps
If behavior becomes disruptive:

Calmly restate the expectation.

Warning
Clear, direct warning about behavior.

Spot Reset
Student sits on assigned spot for 2–3 minutes to reset.

Removal from Activity
Students sit out for the remainder of the station or round.
If behavior improves, allow students to rejoin appropriately.
Major Behavior Concerns
If you experience: Severe defiance, Unsafe behavior, Physical aggression, or a student refusing to follow directions after multiple steps, call the office.

Important Reminder
Safety is the priority. If at any time the class becomes unsafe, stop the activity, have students sit on their spots, and reset expectations before continuing.
