Official Game Rules & Protocol
1
The Callout Sprint
Each team numbers off 1 through 6 (or more). The teacher calls one or two numbers. Only called players may sprint into the center zone to challenge for the ball.
2
Line Keeper Defense
Players on the baseline are active goalies. Keepers must remain behind their line and can only block the ball with their feet, shins, or bodies—strictly no hands.
3
Wall Pass Playmaker
Active runners can pass the ball back to their own line keepers. Keepers trap the ball and immediately kick it back into play to set up a give-and-go attack.
4
Scoring & Safety Rules
A goal is scored when the ball crosses the opposing baseline below waist height. High kicks result in a turnover. No slide tackles or body checks allowed.
Key Tactical Skills to Demonstrate
Game Success Criteria
1. Sole of Foot Trap
Cushion the incoming ball under the sole immediately upon reaching the center circle.
2. Instep Push Pass
Turn your ankle out, plant supporting foot toward the target, and follow through smoothly.
3. Low Driven Placement
Aim for open gaps between keeper feet with ankle locked, keeping the shot along the floor.

Sideline Communication Protocol
"MAN ON!"
Yelled by line keepers when an opposing runner is closing in from the blind spot.
"DROP IT!"
Calls the active runner to pass back to their line to escape pressure and reset.
"SWITCH / FAR POST!"
Directs teammate to shoot or pass toward the undefended open corner of the line.

L3
Give-and-Go Multiplier
Any goal scored directly following a wall pass from a sideline keeper earns 2 points.
