Normas del Aula y Compromiso
Español III Syllabus
La Inmersión Total (90% Spanish Rule)
Language acquisition flourishes in comfortable, high-exposure environments. Spanish is the sole language of operation inside this room. You are expected to converse, ask questions, and support peers entirely in Spanish. English is reserved exclusively for structured grammar breakdowns and major emergency clarifications during the final five minutes of a class block. Points are allotted daily to record active verbal participation.
Peticiones de Extensión y Resubmission
Because learning is developmental, students may request draft corrections on literary portfolios and speaking prompts within one week of graded return. High school students are expected to self-advocate. Daily formative worksheets can be accepted late for a maximum of 80% credit up until the final week of each grading quarter.
Código de Honor: Honestidad Académica y Traductores
The use of AI translators (such as ChatGPT, DeepL, Google Translate) to produce cohesive Spanish essays, direct responses, or creative projects violates academic honesty policies. Translation tools bypass essential linguistic brain-mapping. Language produced must strictly reflect your current developmental ability. Any suspicious syntactical constructions will result in a required 1-on-1 speaking defense to determine project grade validity.
