File #001: Maya (Basketball)
Maya is the star point guard. Before every big game, she feels her heart pound, her hands shake, and her mind go blank. Lately, she’s been avoiding team practice because she’s afraid she’ll mess up in front of everyone.
Key Focus: Performance anxiety and fear of failure.
Observation: Withdrawal from team activities.
File #002: Carlos (Swimming)
Carlos tore his shoulder three months ago. He’s physically healed but feels isolated on deck, watching teammates race without him. He worries he’ll never reach his previous speed and often sits alone during practice.
Key Focus: Fear of performance decline.
Observation: Isolation and low self-esteem.
File #003: Jada (Track)
Jada posted a video of her finishing first in a regional meet. She received negative comments online about her form and appearance. She now hesitates to share results and avoids checking messages.
Key Focus: Social media pressure & scrutiny.
Observation: Rising self-doubt and withdrawal.
File #004: Alex (Cross-Country)
Alex takes advanced math and science courses. Late practices and deadlines leave him exhausted. He’s losing interest in running, misses assignments, and feels guilty when he relaxes.
Key Focus: Burnout and perfectionism.
Observation: Loss of interest and high stress.
File #005: Priya (Gymnastics)
Priya has a reputation for nailing difficult skills. Her coach and parents set strict goals. Behind the smiles, Priya feels constant pressure to be perfect and fears disappointing everyone if she makes a mistake.
Key Focus: High external expectations.
