Display Slide 2. Ask students to stand and immediately find a partner. Without speaking, one partner starts moving a hand slowly; the other must copy it exactly. Explain that today we are becoming "The Human Machine."

Review Slide 3. Emphasize peripheral vision . Ask: "If you stare directly at your partner's hand, can you still see their feet?" Demonstrate how to soften the gaze to see the whole body.

Game 1: Mirror Me
Follow Slide 4 instructions. Start with upper body only. Progress to full body (squats, side-steps). Teacher Key: Look for "lag time." If a student is waiting to see the move before starting, encourage them to "predict" based on the leader's shoulder prep.

Follow Slide 5. This adds locomotion . Partners walk through the gym in single-file. The leader changes direction/speed. The follower must stay "glued" to their back at the exact distance.
Troubleshooting the Lab
Common Issue: "Too Fast"
Leaders moving with jerky, fast motions that are impossible to follow.
Fix: "Tai Chi Speed." Instruct everyone to move through invisible honey.
Common Issue: "The Stare"
Followers locking eyes and getting dizzy or missing large body movements.
Fix: Look at the "Center of Mass" (the belly button/chest area).

Display Slide 5. Have partners sit on mats, back-to-back. The Trick: They must push against each other simultaneously. If they don't push, they collapse. If one pushes harder, they fall forward.

Display Slide 4. Start with two pairs of Blobs. Coaching Cue: Watch for the "whip effect." If the leader turns too sharp, the tail of the blob gets thrown out. Encourage leaders to check behind them before turning.

Display Slide 2 and 3. Practice a "dry run" with the parachute just held at waist height. Practice moving it up and down in unison . Emphasize that the air is a real physical object we are trying to trap.

Display Slide 4 and 6. The Mushroom: Up on 3, two steps in, seal down. The Igloo: Once the mushroom is peaked, everyone pulls the edge behind them and sits inside. Teacher Key: If it fails, ask the students to "diagnose the leak." Where did the air go? Who moved too early?

Rollerball Precision
Display Slide 5. Place a foam ball on the chute. The goal is to move the ball in a circle around the edge. Coaching Cue: Students must look across the chute to their classmates. If the person opposite you lifts, you must lower. It's a continuous wave of adjustments.
Managing the Airflow
Issue: Chute is heavy/dead
Students are pulling away from each other too hard before the lift. Encourage a "relaxed grip" until the lift command.
Issue: Chaos on "Three"
Some students are jumping or throwing the chute. Remind them: "Architecture requires precision, not just power."
