| Learning Target | — Blank — | I can collaborate with my team to test and execute 2-mat bridge passing and carry items in pairs to designated bins with minimal drops. | I can collaborate with my squad to transport all members across open gym using only 2 small mats (fitting on 1 mat while passing the 2nd forward) and execute Delivery runs. |
| Character Target | — Blank — | I can demonstrate integrity and each other's keeper by calling dropped items honestly, swapping out without complaining, and encouraging subbing partners. | I can demonstrate concern and humility by sharing tight mat space respectfully, supporting teammates' physical balance, and prioritizing group safety over speed. |
| Do Now (Ignite) | — Blank — | RRE Questionnaire: Part 1 & 2 — Gym safety rules, boundary expectations, equipment storage & drop/swap routines. | RRE Questionnaire: Part 3 — Spatial awareness during tight mat compression and safe bridge leapfrog transfers. |
| Domain Vocabulary | — Blank — | Integrity, Bridge Plank, Mat Carry, Swap-Out, Designated Area. | Plank Bridge Crossing, Mat Compression, Overhead Pass, Equilibrium, Turnover. |
| Procedure Overview | | | |
| • DI (Direct) | | | |
| • GP (Guided) | | | |
| • IP (Independent) | — Blank — | DI [5m]: Teach 2-mat bridge cycle (fit entire group on mat A, lift & pass mat B forward) + Delivery drop/swap rule. | |
| GP [7m]: Practice 2-mat compress-and-pass drill & 2-person mat carry. | | | |
| IP [25m]: Station rotations: Station 1 (Plank Bridge intro) & Station 2 (Delivery Game). | DI [6m]: Demo 30-ft gym crossing with 2 small mats; review floor-touch penalty (-3 ft reset). | | |
| GP [6m]: Full squad compression hold & mat transfer trial. | | | |
| IP [25m]: Squads race across gym river using 2 mats while alternating pairs run Delivery Game routes. | | | |
| Differentiation: Content / Process / Product | — Blank — | Content: Standard 4x6ft mats for emerging squads vs. 3x4ft mats for advanced. | |
| Process: Visual on-deck swap boxes & designated mat passer roles. | | | |
| Product: Success measured by total stored items vs. error-free run streaks. | Content: Vary crossing span (20ft vs. 40ft) & item load complexity (balls, cones, rings). | | |
| Process: Assign Front Placer, Compression Anchor, and Rear Scooper roles. | | | |
| Product: Total crossing time vs. zero floor-touch penalty score. | | | |
| Progress Monitoring Look-Fors | — Blank — | Where/When: Sub queue & bin zone. | |
| Action: Immediate, positive swap-outs upon drops; careful bin placement without throwing. | Where/When: Bridge crossing runway. | | |
| Action: 100% of squad feet on single mat before rear mat is lifted; calm communication during balance compression. | | | |
| Discourse / BPQ & Exit Ticket | — Blank — | BPQ: How does honest swap-out rotation during drops uphold Integrity and maintain squad momentum? | |
| Resp: Keeps gameplay fair and gives everyone equal practice. | BPQ: How does Humility and body-awareness help your squad fit all members on one mat while passing the second? | | |
| Resp: Sharing space tightly requires trust and teamwork. | | | |
| Materials | — Blank — | RRE Questionnaire sheets, 6 small carry mats, 6 storage bins, assorted balls/cones, timers. | RRE Questionnaire sheets, 10–12 small bridge mats (2 per squad), storage bins, varied gear, boundary tape. |

Plank Bridge Crossing (2-Mat Relay)
Activity Summary: Transport your entire squad across the open gym floor using only 2 small mats ("bridge planks"). All students must fit on 1 mat while the second mat is passed forward!
Core Challenge: Zero feet may touch the gym floor; requires tight compression holds, overhead passing, and synchronization.
Hyde Values: Concern (partner balance care), Humility (space sharing) & Courage (perseverance under fatigue).
The Delivery Game (2-Person Mat Carry)
Activity Summary: Students work together in teams of two to carry various sports equipment items on a mat across the gym to a designated area and store them in bins.
Swap-Out Rule: If an item drops or misses the bin, the pair must immediately swap out with an on-deck pair and try again.
Hyde Values: Integrity (honest turnover calling) & Each Other's Keeper (positive peer support).
