Green Zone: Classroom Care
I'm Okay!
What is happening?
- A tiny scratch or paper cut
- A loose tooth (almost ready!)
- Dry, chapped lips
- Just tired or slightly hungry
What should I do?
Wash the scratch with soap and water, ask your teacher for a standard Band-Aid or a drink of fresh water.
Stay in Class • Keep Learning!

Yellow Zone: Ask Your Teacher
Wait & See
What is happening?
- A mild stomach ache
- An itchy bug bite
- Feel warm or have a light cough
- Bumped elbow or minor muscle ache
What should I do?
Tell your teacher. Try resting for 10 minutes, drinking some cool water, or using a classroom paper towel cold compress.
Ask Teacher for a Nurse Pass if it worsens!

Red Zone: Nurse Right Away
Go Immediately!
What is happening?
- Bleeding or a deep cut
- Hard fall, bumped head, or dizzy
- Throwing up or feeling very sick
- Trouble breathing or bee sting allergy
What should I do?
Alert your teacher immediately. Take a school nurse pass and a walking buddy, and walk safely down to the clinic.
