Día 1: Durante las vacaciones de Navidad fui a España. Antes de ir, saqué un pasaporte y compré el boleto de avión en Travelocity. No es necesario sacar una visa si solo vas a quedar unos días. Empaqué las maletas con suéteres y chaquetas porque hace frío en Madrid en diciembre.
Llamé un taxi a las 6 de la mañana. Llegué al aeropuerto, pasé por seguridad y abordé al vuelo a las 8. El vuelo duró 11 horas. Llegué a Madrid a medianoche, tomé el tren y llegué a mi hotel (Hotel Atlántico Madrid), en el centro. Reservé una habitación sencilla porque viajaba sola. El botones llevó mis maletas y me acosté a dormir.
Días 2 y 3: Visité al Museo Nacional del Prado. Miré las obras de Velázquez y de Goya. Almorcé tapas en La Tapería del Prado y pasé tiempo en el Parque de Retiro. Vi esculturas y fuentes bonitas. Al tercer día, caminé por la Plaza Mayor y la Puerta del Sol. Comí patatas bravas en el Restaurante Las Bravas y saqué una foto con el Oso y el Madroño.
Días 4 y 5: Fui en metro al Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. ¡Es espectacular! Cené paella con arroz y mariscos en el restaurante Puerta 57. El hotel no tiene piscina ni casino, solo pasé tiempo en la recepción y desayunando pan con tomate y café con leche. El camarero era amable. El quinto día volé a casa. ¡Fue divertido y relajante!
English Translation
Day 1: During Christmas vacation, I went to Spain. Before going, I got a passport and bought my plane ticket on Travelocity. It is not necessary to get a visa if you are only staying a few days. I packed my suitcases with sweaters and jackets because it is cold in Madrid in December.
I called a taxi at 6 AM. I arrived at the airport, passed through security, and boarded the flight at 8 AM. The flight lasted 11 hours. I arrived in Madrid at midnight, took the train, and arrived at my hotel (Hotel Atlántico Madrid) in the center. I booked a single room because I was traveling alone. The bellhop carried my bags and I went to sleep.
Days 2 and 3: I visited the Prado Museum. I looked at the works of Velázquez and Goya. I had tapas for lunch at La Tapería del Prado and spent time in Retiro Park. I saw beautiful sculptures and fountains. On the third day, I walked through Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. I ate patatas bravas at Las Bravas and took a photo with the Bear and the Strawberry Tree.
Days 4 and 5: I took the metro to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. It is spectacular! I had paella with rice and seafood for dinner at Puerta 57 restaurant. The hotel has no pool or casino; I only spent time in the reception and eating bread with tomato and coffee with milk. The waiter was kind. On day 5, I flew home. It was fun and relaxing!
