Fresh Start Guide
Small Habits • Big Confidence
It's a New Phase
Middle school is a time of big changes. Your body is working harder, and you might notice new smells or oily skin. That's totally normal. This guide is here to help you navigate these changes with simple, daily steps so you can focus on what really matters.
The Daily Refresh
Daily showering is the foundation of hygiene. It washes away the sweat and bacteria that cause odors.
Use Soap: Water alone isn't enough. Use a mild body wash or bar soap on all parts of your body.
Rinse Well: Make sure all soap is gone before you hop out.
Dry Thoroughly: Pay attention to your feet and underarms to prevent skin irritation.
Taming the "BO"
Everyone sweats, but as you grow, that sweat changes. Dealing with it is easy once you have a routine.
Apply Every Morning
Put on deodorant or antiperspirant first thing in the morning after you've dried off from your shower.
Post-Gym Protocol
Keep a stick in your gym locker. A quick re-application after PE or sports makes a huge difference.

Skin & Hair Care
Your skin produces more oil (sebum) now, which can lead to breakouts or greasy hair.
Face
Wash twice daily with a gentle cleanser. Avoid touching your face to keep oil away.
Hair
Wash your hair when it feels oily. Focus the shampoo on your scalp where the oil builds up.
A Healthy Smile
Fresh breath boosts your confidence. Bacteria in your mouth is the main cause of bad breath.

Brush twice daily
Tongue
Don't forget to brush it
Floss
Once a day is key
The "Clean" Wardrobe
Clothes trap sweat and odors. Putting clean clothes on a clean body is a must.
Change daily: Underwear and socks always need to be fresh every morning. T-shirts should also be changed daily.
