- Printable Challenge Cards
- Hockey Sticks & Soft Balls/Pucks
- Cones (for goals/boundaries)
- Blindfolds (for Trust Walk)
Pre-Game Prep
Cut out the Printable Challenge Cards. Set up a clear space for the mini-hockey game and the trust exercises. Ensure the floor is clear of hazards.
Game Plan
2m Intro
Kick-off & Objectives
Welcome the team. Explain that today's goal is building stronger connections through active collaboration. Briefly outline the session's flow.
3m Setup
Forming Squads
Divide the group into teams of 4-5. Distribute challenge cards. Explain that each card requires full group participation to solve.
12m Phase 1
The Challenge Circuit
Groups work through cards. Facilitator circulates to monitor communication styles and offer guidance without giving solutions.
5m Phase 2
Hockey Strategy Play
Set up mini-hockey. Teams must huddle and plan strategy BEFORE playing. Focus on verbal cues and responding to teammate movements.
5m Phase 3
Trust Drills
Choose between Trust Falls or Blindfold Walk. Emphasize that trust is built through clear instructions and reliable follow-through.
3m Post-Game
Debrief & Wrap-up
Gather back together. Discuss: What strategies worked? How does this apply to our real-world work/team environment?
