Net Attack DiagramsNet Attack Diagrams Volleyball Offensive Systems & Rotations Offensive Playbook 1. The 4-2 Offensive System Perfect for beginners and developing teams. 2 Setters / 4 Hitters In a 4-2 system, there are two setters on the court at all times, located opposite each other in the rotation. The setter in the front row is the active setter. Key Advantages: Setter is always in the front row, making it easier to see and set. Simple rotation with clear responsibilities. Eliminates complex "penetration" from the back row. NET S M1 H1 S2 M2 H2 Base Positions & The "Switch" The Outside (Left) Usually the primary attacker. Needs to be comfortable hitting from a high set near the antenna. The Middle Focuses on quick attacks and blocking. Always transitions to the middle of the net after the serve. The Right Side Defends against the opponent's outside hitter. Helps the setter and can act as a secondary attacker. Practice Diagram: 6-2 Rotation 1 In a 6-2, the back-row setter penetrates to the net to set, allowing 3 front-row hitters. STUDENT WORK AREA NET Task: Place 3 Hitters (H), 2 Middles (M), and 1 Active Setter (S) for a serve-receive formation. *Hint: The back-row setter should be near the net on the right side.* Communication // Coverage // Confidence VARSITY VIBES PE
