1. Airplane Runway Entry
Kindergarteners enter with "Airplane Wings" extended at shoulder height. They jog along the perimeter lane and bank safely onto an open mat island without crossing paths.
2. Mat Buffer Verification
Once on their mat, each child does the "Helicopter Spin" on the mat. If their fingertips can touch the mat next to them, the teacher slides that mat back to maintain a strict 6-foot safety buffer.
3. "Freeze & Eyes Front" Cue
At two short whistles, all students drop to their mat in a Tuck ball. Eyes forward on the screen ready for the next slide clue.

Only one runner is permitted on any mat island at a time. If a second student lands on your mat, the first student must immediately launch off and seek a new open island.
2. The 5-Second Mat Rule
No "mat camping"! Runners may only stay frozen on an island for a maximum count of 5 (1-Mississippi to 5-Mississippi). Once counted, they must re-enter open lanes.
3. Foam Noodle "Butterfly Touch"
Taggers must tag between shoulders and waist with a soft foam noodle like a gentle butterfly touch. No hard swatting or pushing. If tagged, students swap roles or do 3 star jumps!
