Target Age All Ages
Team Size 4–8 Players
Round Time 4–6 Minutes
Intensity Active Speed
Station Equipment:
3 Tennis Balls / Line Tall Marker Cones Throw & Catch Line Cones
How to Play • Step-by-Step
-
1
Team Lineup: Players line up behind their starting cone. One designated catcher stands across at the catch line next to the tall marker cone.
-
2
The Throw & Catch: The first thrower tosses a tennis ball across to the catcher. The catcher must make a clean catch with both feet in place.
-
3
Cap the Cone: After catching, the catcher carefully balances the tennis ball on top of the tall cone.
-
4
Rotate & Repeat: The thrower sprints forward to become the new catcher. The previous catcher sprints to the back of the team queue to become a thrower!
Official Rules & Ref Calls
Fair Play DOs
Both feet must be behind the marker line when throwing. If the ball rolls off the cone, reset it before tagging teammates!
Watch Out DON'Ts
No running while holding the ball. If dropped during the throw, the thrower must retrieve it and re-throw from the mark.
Kid Power Tip
Use soft "two-handed butterfly hands" to catch the ball gently against your chest before placing it on the cone!
Parent Coach Tip
Give an easy underhand chest pass so younger partners have plenty of reaction time to make clean, confident catches.
Victory Condition First team to cycle all players through catches and cap all cones with balls wins!

Station #2 • Cooperative Relay Challenge
Cone Catch Relay
An inverted-cone catching tournament where teams conquer three progressive distance markers without a single bounce!
Format 3-Tier Distance
Target Age Grade 1 & Up
Team Size 4–6 Players
Round Time 5 Minutes
Skill Focus Hand-Eye Aim
Station Equipment:
Hand-Held Catching Cones Regulation Tennis Balls 3 Colored Distance Discs
Tier 1 • Green Disc Short Range (8 Feet)
Warm-up tosses to establish cone tracking.
Tier 2 • Yellow Disc Mid Range (15 Feet)
High rainbow arcs requiring quick footing.
Tier 3 • Red Disc Long Range (22 Feet)
The championship distance for masters!
How to Play • Step-by-Step
-
1
The Cone Inversion: Catchers hold their sports cone upside down like an ice cream cone with the wide opening pointing skyward.
-
2
Toss from Tier 1: The thrower sends a gentle lofted pass from behind the Green Disc. The catcher must snare it inside the cone without touching the ball with hands.
-
3
Advance Distance: Once completed cleanly, the thrower immediately drops back to Tier 2 (Yellow), then Tier 3 (Red) for subsequent catches.
-
4
Hand-off & Switch: Once all 3 tiers are nailed, the catcher hands off the cone to the next teammate and joins the throwing queue.
Official Rules & Strict Calls
Direct Airborne Only
Catches must be direct from the air! The ball cannot hit the ground, walls, or bounce in off your clothes.
No Hand Traps!
Hands must remain gripped on the outside of the cone. Covering the mouth of the cone with your fingers is a foul.
Kid Catching Trick
Watch the ball all the way down into the cone, and bend your knees slightly as it enters to cushion the impact so it doesn't bounce out!
Parent Toss Tip
Throw with a gentle upward rainbow arc instead of a line drive—an arcing ball is 10x easier to scoop with an inverted cone!
Victory Condition First squad to complete clean cone catches across all 3 distance tiers takes the crown!

3 Markers/Pennies per Team 9-Ring Grid (Hula Hoops) youtu.be/xDNVvI872l4
How to Play • Step-by-Step
-
1
Ready, Set, Sprint: On the whistle, the first player from each team sprints with 1 colored marker (penny) to the 3×3 hoop grid located 20 feet away.
-
2
Drop & Tag: Place your penny into any open hoop ring, then sprint back to give your next teammate a high-five handoff tag.
-
3
The 3-Penny Limit: Each team only gets 3 pennies on the grid! If all 3 are down and neither team has 3 in a row, the next runner cannot drop a new item.
-
4
The Shift Phase: Runners must now sprint up and slide/move ONE of their team's existing pennies into an adjacent empty ring until someone aligns 3-in-a-row!
Official Rules & Sprint Etiquette
Clean Handoffs
Teammates must wait behind the starting cone until physically tagged. Only ONE runner per team on the grid at any time.
Hands Off Opponents!
You may never touch, kick, or relocate an opponent's penny. One penny per hoop maximum—no stacking allowed.
Kid Strategy Tip
Grab the center ring first if you can! It gives your team 4 different ways to make 3-in-a-row (horizontal, vertical, and two diagonals).
Parent Field General Tip
The team in line has the best view! Shout helpful directions ("Block the top right!", "Move middle penny!") to your runner in real time.
Victory Condition First team to align 3 colored pennies horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins!

Potato Sack Bags / Small Mats Designated Drop Bins youtu.be/T17KyHqCdBs
How to Play • Step-by-Step
-
1
Grip the Mat: The adult and child stand on opposite sides of the potato sack or flat mat, holding onto the edges or handles to create a flat, tensioned hammock.
-
2
Load the Cargo: The referee or teammate places an assigned payload (ball, beanbag, or plush item) in the dead center of the mat.
-
3
Synchronized Navigation: Partners communicate and walk in locked cadence across the obstacle course toward the target drop zone.
-
4
Bank the Delivery: Arrive at the designated collection bin and tilt the mat together to roll the item inside. Sprint back with the mat to tag the next duo!
Official Rules & Cargo Regulations
Hands On Mat Only
Hands must stay strictly on the mat fabric! Touching, squeezing, or trapping the item with fingers is an immediate foul.
Dropped Item Swap
If the item rolls off the mat and hits the floor, the pair swaps out with the on-deck team, and the next pair takes the turn!
Kid Navigation Tip
Call out the rhythm out loud: "Step, step, step!" When turning around cones, take small baby steps so the ball stays centered.
Parent Pace Tip
Match your child's walking stride instead of forcing adult strides. Keep your side of the mat at child waist level to maintain a flat surface!
Station Objective Continuous rotation encouraging teamwork, synchronized communication, and maximum clean deliveries!

Potato Sack Bags / Catch Mats Soft Tossable Items / Balls youtu.be/Qtwla2n7ZKQ
How to Play • Step-by-Step
-
1
Tension the Net: The adult and child each hold two corners of the potato sack or catching mat, pulling it taut between them in the catch zone.
-
2
The Airborne Launch: The pitcher launches or releases an item into the air toward the duo from behind the launch line.
-
3
Coordinate & Secure: Partners communicate, shuffle together forward, backward, or sideways, and trap the flying item inside their sack.
-
4
Deposit & Tag: Once caught cleanly, the pair dumps the item into the designated score zone and returns to tag the on-deck duo.
Official Rules & Net Protocols
Pure Sack Catches
The item must land squarely inside the potato sack bag or mat. Body hugs, arm traps, or leg stops do NOT count.
Rotation on Miss
If an item hits the floor or is dropped, the pair swaps out with the on-deck team, giving the next duo their turn!
Kid Cushion Secret
Don't hold the mat rock hard like a trampoline or the ball will bounce right out! Dip your arms down slightly as the ball hits to cradle it.
Parent Vocal Tip
Be the navigator! Call out direction instantly ("Forward two steps!", "Hold right here!") so your partner moves with you as a single unit.
Station Objective Coordinate partner tracking to safely secure and bank target catches out of the air!

Beanbags (2 Colors) Central Target Bucket Cones on Hoop Track youtu.be/V9c6hlGX_f4
Team Blue Line Tosses into Bin
HOOP TRACK CONE
Scores push cone toward opponent side
Team Red Line Tosses into Bin
How to Play • Step-by-Step
-
1
Opposing Throw Lines: Two teams assemble behind throw lines equal distances away from the central target bin and the hoop track.
-
2
The Target Toss: Players take turns taking careful underhand aim, lofting their beanbag toward the central target bin.
-
3
Advance the Cone: Every successful sink immediately shifts the sliding marker cone one segment on the track towards the opposing team's base!
-
4
Simultaneous Sinks: If players from both teams sink their beanbag at the exact same moment, the score cancels out and the cone holds its position.
Official Rules & Safety Guidelines
Underhand Loft Only
All tosses must be thrown underhand. Overhand chucking or crossing the marked throwing line is an automatic null throw.
Safe Retrieval Lanes
Never walk across the central throwing zone while beanbags are airborne! Retrieve missed bags only from the side perimeters.
Kid Flop Toss Trick
Aim high and let the beanbag drop flat into the bucket so it flops down dead inside instead of bouncing off the rim!
Parent Cheer Strategy
Keep the rhythm going! Have beanbags ready in hand so your child can settle, focus their aim, and release smoothly without rushing.
Victory Condition First team to push the cones all the way to the opposing side's end zone wins the battle!
