The Big Reveal
Open a digital painting app on the main screen. Show the default palette of 12-24 colors. Ask: "Is this every color in the world?" Then, click the 'Custom' or 'Color Picker' icon to reveal the wheel/spectrum.

Slide & Seek
Demonstrate moving the hue slider (around the wheel) and the brightness slider (up/down or left/right). Explain that every tiny movement makes a NEW color.

Guided Exploration
Have students find "Secret Colors." Challenge them to find: "The color of a bruised banana," "The color of the deep ocean," or "The color of a sunset."

In the digital art world, we don't always pick a new color from the box. Sometimes, we blend two colors by making them see-through. This tool is called Opacity.
The Opacity Slider
Demonstrate: Show where the slider is in your specific app (often a percentage or a bar with 0-100).

100%: Explain this is a "Solid Brick." You can't see through it at all.

20%: Explain this is a "Ghost." It is faint and lets the background peek through.

Paint a solid Yellow blob. Then use a ghosty Blue brush (30-40% opacity) on top. Ask: "What color did we just create?" (Green).
Experiment 2: Glow Effect
Paint a solid Dark Blue background. Use a 10% opacity White brush to "draw" around a shape. This creates a "glow" or fog.
