Cozy Circle: Introduction
- • Gather children in a circle and introduce the theme of winter.
- • Prompt: "What are some things we see or feel when it's winter outside?"
- • Read your chosen winter-themed storybook, encouraging children to point out winter elements in the illustrations.
20 Minutes
Winter Scene Craft Activity
- • Set up stations with paper, glue, scissors, and cotton balls.
- • Instruct children to create their own winter scene. Show them how to fluff the cotton balls to look like soft snow.
- • Assist with glue and scissors as needed. Encourage them to add trees, snowmen, or hills.

Movement Game: Snowflake Dance
- • Start the winter-themed music and hand out a unique Snowflake Card to each child.
- • Children "dance" like their snowflake (swirling, drifting, falling).
- • Freeze: Periodically pause the music. Children must freeze in place like a frozen snowflake!

Closing Circle: Sharing
- • Gather back in the circle for a cool-down reflection.
- • Ask: "What was your favorite part of our winter day?"
- • Briefly recap the winter features discussed: cold, snow, ice, and winter animals.
