Why This Lesson?
Students engage in a creative art challenge to design a jersey representing their favorite hobby. This activity encourages self-expression, enhances creativity, and builds confidence through sharing ideas.

Materials Needed
- Jersey Masterpiece Templates
- Crayons, Markers, or Colored Pencils
- Jersey Design Inspiration Cards
- Plain white paper (optional)
1. Introduction

- Welcome the class and introduce the challenge: Design a jersey for your favorite hobby!
- Explain that a jersey is like a uniform that shows what team you're on or what you love to do.
- Discuss how colors and symbols (like a soccer ball for sports or a star for space) can tell a story.
2. Art Activity
20 MINS
- Distribute the Jersey Masterpiece Templates and coloring tools.
- Ask students to close their eyes and think of one thing they love to do (hobbies).
- Encourage them to use the Design Inspiration Cards if they get stuck.
- Walk around the room to provide support. Ask: "What colors show how you feel when you do your hobby?"
3. Sharing and Closure

- Invite students to hold up their jerseys for a "Gallery Walk" or share at their desks.
- Ask 2-3 volunteers to explain one symbol they chose and why.
- Praise their creativity and reinforce that art is a great way to show who we are!
