GUIDING THE INDEPENDENT WORKSHOP (20 MIN)
Grades K - 1 Protocol
Walk around to ensure students have drawing materials. Assist young artists with spelling their creature's name or superpower. Encouragingly prompt those stuck with a line to add a giant eye right in the middle to start.
Focus: Visual exploration and basic shape recognition.
Grades 2 - 4 Protocol
Push older students to create full environmental context. Encourage them to add physical texture (scales, bricks, bark). Challenge them to write a structured backstory inside the "Character Dossier" block on Page 2.

The "I Can't Think of Anything" Mental Block
Strategy: Have the student rotate their worksheet 90 or 180 degrees. Ask: "What does it look like now?" Point to curves and ask: "Does this look like a bumpy road, a banana, or a dinosaur neck?" Let them choose.

The Perfectionist Block (Fear of Failure)
Strategy: Reassure them that squiggles are safe, intentional accidents. Recommend light pencil sketching first. Remind them of the Warm-Up Game: every idea is valid and mistakes are just seeds for surprise elements.
SHARING CIRCLE & PEDAGOGICAL WRAP-UP
Gather students in a circle or pair them up. Display Slide 7 and read the prompts. Focus on peer celebration and celebrating unique designs over raw artistic skill.
