The Solar Challenge

The Fundamental Four

1. Mass Continuity

Distribution of mass within the sphere.

The Closure: Equation of State

Ideal Gas + Radiation

Dominant in the Sun and massive stars. Pressure comes from particles and photons.

The "Shooting" Method

Since we have boundary conditions split between the center and surface, we must "shoot" from both ends and meet in the middle (Fitting Point).
