This 11th-grade history sequence explores the historiography of Native American peoples, challenging students to analyze how narratives are constructed, whose voices are privileged, and the differences between Western written records and Indigenous oral traditions. Students will critique artistic tropes, analyze textbook bias, and ultimately re-narrate historical events from Indigenous perspectives.
