Students experience the systemic inequality of the French Ancien Régime through a simulation where the vast majority (Third Estate) performs tedious labor to benefit a privileged few (First and Second Estates). The lesson uses a classroom analogy video to bridge historical concepts with students' personal sense of fairness.
