1. Trig Setup

Degree Mode:
[MODE] → Highlight DEGREE.

KEY

Finding Angles:
[2nd] [SIN/COS/TAN]. Result is in degrees.

2. Circles

Circle Eq: \((x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2\)

Find Radius: If given Area, type \(\sqrt{\text{Area} / \pi}\) to find \(r\).

Completing the Square: Use calc to divide \(x\)-coeff by 2 and square it quickly.

3. Precisions

The Pi Button: Use [2nd] [^]. Avoid 3.14 unless requested!

Fractions: [ALPHA] [Y=] → [1] for scale factor ratios.

4. Coordinate Geom

Distance Formula: Use \(\sqrt{(X2-X1)^2 + (Y2-Y1)^2}\).

Slopes: \((Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)\).

Area of Polygon: Use the "Box Method" (Draw box around shape, subtract triangles) - use calc for easy subtractions!

5. Advanced Solver

Find Intersection: [Y1]=line, [Y2]=parabola. [2nd][TRACE][5]. Hit [ENTER] 3x.

Numeric Solver: [MATH] → [Solver]. Solve for missing lengths in proportions!

6. Stats (Density)

Density Calc: Type \(\text{Mass} / \text{Volume}\).
Total Cost: Type \(\text{Volume} \times \text{Density} \times \text{Price}\).

TRICK: Check Scale Factor!
When dilating a line NOT through the origin, the equation of the line remains the SAME if the point is on the line. Use the calculator table to verify points on the new line!

Always write down the formula you are using. If volume is 1000, ensure it fits the diagram logically!
