Here is a quick look at the math skills each grade level is learning this week. Please review your student's attached graded work from last week, then sign and return the bottom slip by Friday.
What We're Learning This Week
3rd Grade Math Focus
Multi-Digit Addition
- • In small group, we will continue to work on adding two-digit numbers without regrouping and setting the stage for regrouping.
- • We will continue to work on quickly recalling our basic addition facts through repeated practice.

In another small group, we will continue to work on solving grade level word problems with modeling.
- • In our independent time, we will work on completing any work we need to do, building our number sense, or working with shape patterns using block.
4th Grade Math Focus

- • We are working on mastering the steps to multiply a two digit number by a one digit number, without regrouping.
- • We will continue to work on quickly recalling our basic multiplication facts through repeated practice.
- • In another small group, we will continue to work on solving grade level word problems with modeling.

5th Grade Math Focus
