Aligned to every major framework

A 1 hour workshop to get your team ready for what's changing in 2026-27.

The NJ SPARK & Tiered Support Workshop is a customized 60-minute session. Prepare your staff for the structural changes coming to NJTSS, mental health supports, and tutoring expectations, most of which still don't have clear answers from the state.

What's changing in NJ:

SPARK is replacing NJ4S. $33 million in new mental health funding is coming, but the delivery model, district responsibilities, and integration with existing MTSS structures are still being defined.

High-impact tutoring funding is doubling to $15 million. The state is signaling that structured, evidence-based tutoring will be expected in more districts. But tutoring only works when it's built on a real Tier 2 and Tier 3 foundation, and most programs aren't.

NJTSS expectations are tightening. As NJ4S sunsets, the coordination layer many districts relied on is going away. Instructional teams will be expected to own more of the academic and behavioral intervention work directly.

What districts receive

Qualifying districts get a one-hour, facilitator-led professional development workshop for their instructional team. Our team has been tracking NJ student support shifts closely. The briefing is designed to bring your instructional leaders up to speed, surface the questions your district should be asking, and build a practical plan for the fall.

Program at a glance

  1. Apply & Interview. Submit a short application, then schedule a 30-minute interview. We'll review your district's current NJTSS structure and where your staff need the most clarity heading into 2026-27. Grant decisions are made in 3 business days.

  2. Pre-Workshop Audit. Before the session, we work with the district leadership team to surface your team's biggest open questions and gaps, tailoring the session to where you need clarity most.

  3. Live 60-minute Workshop. We walk all instructional leaders through the SPARK transition, the high-impact tutoring landscape, and what the state is signaling about NJTSS for 2026-27. Then we give your team the tools to address current gaps and prepare for what's coming, so no students fall through the cracks.

  4. Team leaves with clarity and a plan. Your team walks away with a library of intervention materials ready to use in classrooms, a SPARK readiness checklist tailored to where your district stands, and a prioritized list of action items to carry into the start of the school year.

  • NJTSS coordinators and directors of student services
