Print or prepare small whiteboards/paper and markers/pencils for each student.
Familiarize yourself with the Warm-Up, Activity, Journal, and Cool-Down materials.

Lesson Sequence

1. Introduction & Warm-Up: Friendship Circles

Begin with a welcoming statement and introduce the theme. Facilitate the Friendship Circles Warm-Up. Ask students to share one quality they value in a friend.

2. Discussion: What Makes a Good Friend?

Prompt discussion: "What does it feel like to have a good friend?" and "What actions show someone is a good friend?" Guide conversation to include active listening and empathy.

3. Activity: Empathy Scenario Role-Play

Present a scenario from the Empathy Scenario Activity. Encourage role-playing demonstrating empathetic responses. Provide positive feedback and guide reflection.

4. Reflection & Cool-Down

Students complete one prompt in the Friendship Reflection Journal. Conclude with the High-Five Cool-Down, sharing one thing they learned.
