Mixing Compliance

Lab Mission

Provide SPED resource students with visual, concrete models to mix and scale ratios. Focus on chunked multiplicative reasoning over rote division.

Scaling recipes using tables and strips. Bridge 'Volume Strip' to 'Tape Diagram' terminology.

Finding concentration per 1 mL. Calibration trackers to sync cost and volume.

Using concentration benchmarks (10%, 25%) to scale to full 100% capacity tanks.

Converting bulk units (L, m, gal) to lab units using fixed ratio protocols.

Certification Exam. Students independently select and apply models to mixed laboratory scenarios.

Provide physical flavor bottles or colored beads for 1:1 correspondence before drawing tape diagrams.

Encourage scaling to 10% (benchmark) then multiplying by 10 to get 100% whole.
