- Open with a hook: Ask "What does 'gratitude' mean to you?"
- Briefly discuss how being thankful impacts our mood and how we treat others.
- Teacher Tip: Share a personal, relatable example (e.g., "I'm grateful for my morning coffee" or "I'm grateful for the kindness you showed each other today").

Creating the Thankfulness Tree

- Distribute leaf templates and art supplies.
- Challenge students to write or draw one thing they are grateful for inside their leaf. Encourage specific details!
- Students cut out their leaves and bring them to the designated "trunk" (bulletin board or wall).
- Collaboratively arrange the leaves to create a full, vibrant tree canopy.

Reflection and Sharing

- Invite students to share their leaf's message if they feel comfortable.
- Admire the completed "Grateful Grove" and discuss how it feels to see everyone's gratitude combined.
- Closing challenge: Ask students to express gratitude to one person outside of class today.
